The GME MT400 406 MHz digital EPIRB is the culmination of three years of extensive R & D by GME engineers. The end result is a radical new design concept that is not only a significant improvement on existing beacon performance, but dramatically slashes the cost of 406 MHz EPIRB ownership.

Advantages of a 406 MHZ EPIRB over the older analogue EPIRBs include world wide coverage, position location accuracy to within 5 kms and a more stable transmitted signal resulting in faster response time. Most importantly, the addition of a unique digitally coded message provides Search and Rescue authorities with vital information including the country of beacon registration and identification of the vessel in distress thus greatly reducing the incidence of false alerts and unneccesary deployment of valuable rescue resources.

Fastfind EPIRB standard 406MHz personal location beacon has all the features of the Fastfind Plus but without GPS. Fastfind EPIRB 406MHz frequency provides an alert signal to the rescue services within 90 minutes and gives a positional accuracy to with 3nm.

The Fastfind Plus is a revolutionary hand-held Personal Location Beacon that features built-in GPS receiver combined with a 406MHz alert signal and a 121.5 MHz homing signal. It is ideal for alerting the rescue services within 90 minutes maximum, depending on the satellite passes and gives a positional accuracy to within 3nm. Once in the vicinity the 121.5 MHz transmitter provides a signal for the rescue services to find a vessel or individual in distress particularly if equipped with flares and lifejacket light.

The GPS interface (NMEA 0183) of the ACR AquaFix 406 MHz allows you to download your GPS coordinates from a hand-held GPS receiver into your EPIRB; when activated, your LAT/LON will accompany your 406 MHz signal on the first burst, dramatically saving valuable time for your distress message to reach local rescue centres.

The Aquafix 406 has full EPIRB functions within a compact and tough state-of-the-art package which weighs only 338 g.

The unit has an internal GPS which acquires GPS co-ordinates once activated and transmits your precise location through the satellite system to the registered maritime agency to co-ordinate local search and rescue agencies. The Aquafix has a full-length aerial and transmits for more than 24 h at -20°C.
